Furrest City Fur Con 2026: Code of Conduct

Public Decorum and Convention Space

-All attendees must wear their registration badge at all times while at the event space. During the event, your registration badge remains the property of Furrest CIty. Attendees must present their registration badge to staff upon request.

-Food and beverages are not permitted within the auditorium area.
-Affixing materials to walls, doors, signage, elevators, or any other convention property is strictly prohibited.
– Attendees are expected to dispose of any and all trash appropriately while maintaining cleanliness within convention spaces. (Please leave the convention space nicer than you found it.)
-Throwing of objects from elevated areas is strictly prohibited.
-Operation of drones, whether indoors or outdoors, is prohibited without prior written authorization from Furrest City.
-Sleeping within convention spaces is not permitted.
– Access to restricted areas is limited to authorized individuals only. Tampering with venue equipment, including fire alarms and smoke detectors, is strictly prohibited, and grounds for removal from the event.
-Theft, vandalism, or damage to property is prohibited. (If it is not yours, do not touch it.)
-The public display of any adult artwork is not permitted.
-Lewd or inappropriate displays of affection are not permitted.

Animals

Non-Anthropomorphic animals are not permitted within the convention spaces. There is an exception for service animals as defined under 28 CFR 36.104 of the Americans with Disabilities Act. If you have any concerns or questions please reach out to the Safety/Service department at any time.

Minors

Individuals under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian at all times.

Clothing

-All clothing and costumes must be appropriate and must not be overly revealing, lewd, or suggestive.
-Collars may be worn; however, leashes may not be held by another individual.
-Garments, costumes, or signage that are deemed by Furrest City, Inc. to convey intimidation, hostility, or offensive messaging are prohibited. Individuals found in violation may be required to remove such items.
-All attire must comply with the policies outlined in the “Harassment, Hate Speech, and Symbols” section.
-Appropriate footwear and clothing are required at all times within convention spaces, including attire that forms part of a costume.

Sales of Goods and Services

The sale of goods or services is not permitted within convention spaces. With the exception of convention sanctioned dealers and vendors.

Smoking, Alcohol, and other Substances

-Smoking, including vaping, is strictly prohibited within convention spaces and on university property.
-Alcoholic beverages are not permitted unless served by a licensed provider for on-site consumption. Public intoxication is also prohibited.
-Any individual found distributing controlled substances will have their registration revoked, may be reported to local authorities, and may be removed from the premises.

Weapons

-The possession or display of functioning or realistic-looking weapons is strictly prohibited within convention spaces. (This includes projectile devices as well as prop weapons of any kind.)
– Brandishing any weapon is strictly prohibited and will result in confiscation for the duration of the convention.

Harassment, Hate Speech, and Symbols

-Harassment of any kind—including but not limited to physical assault, intimidation, stalking, or unwelcome physical contact—is strictly prohibited.
-Speech or conduct that promotes or encourages any form of discrimination, harassment, or violence based on race, ethnicity, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, religion, or nationality is not permitted.

Photography and Video

-Photography, filming, and video recording for personal use are generally permitted in common areas. (Recording is strictly prohibited within the Art Show)
-Photography, filming, or recording for commercial purposes, publication, or mass distribution is prohibited without prior written authorization from Furrest City, Inc.
-Members of the press must display an official Furrest City press badge and be accompanied by a designated staff member at all times while in convention spaces. Unauthorized media activity may result in removal from the premises.
-Attendees are expected to obtain consent before photographing or recording other individuals.

*Absolutely no pictures should be taken within the headless fursuit lounge. Failure to comply will result in corrective action.

*Failure to follow and or respect the code of conduct will result in corrective action which includes a verbal warning, revocation of registration, and or removal from the convention space.
